Nairobi (House of Waine)

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and after clearing customs you will be met by our representative who will transfer you to the House of Waine.

Spend 1 night at House of Waine - an 11-bedroom boutique hotel in Karen, a suburb of Nairobi, renowned for fine décor and its quiet location. The rooms have a television, mini bar, room safe, coffee & tea making facilities with fresh milk and homemade pastries delivered daily. Each bedroom has a large marble bathroom with a shower and bath, and a hairdryer.

Your stay is on a Bed & Breakfast basis.

Meru National Park (Elsa's Kopje)

You will be collected at 08h00 from House of Waine and transferred to Wilson Airport to catch the Air Kenya scheduled flight which departs at 09h15. On arrival into Meru you will be met at the airstrip and transferred to Elsa's Kopje.

Meru was one of the two areas in which conservationists George & Joy Adamson raised Elsa the Lioness made famous in the best selling book and award winning movie 'Born Free'. Elsa the Lioness is buried in the park and part of Joy's ashes were scattered on her gravesite.

Spend 3 nights at Elsa's Kopje. Accommodation consist of 8 elegant open-plan 'rooms-with-a-view' plus a three tier Honeymoon Suite, and a Private House with a double and a twin room, a shared sitting room, verandah and a private swimming pool. All rooms are uniquely designed incorporating natural features of the rocky hillside.

Your stay includes all meals, soft drinks, beer, house wine and scheduled lodge activities.

Activities include day & night game drives, guided bush walks, bush meals, cultural visits, sundowners & fishing.

Shaba National Reserve (Joy's Camp)

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for your Air Kenya scheduled flight to Samburu departing at 10h35 to arrive at 11h00. On arrival your driver/guide will meet you and transfer you to Joy's Camp.

Joy's Camp is built on the site of Joy Adamson's tented home in Shaba National Reserve. The site was also home to Penny the Leopard, the heroine of her last book. The camp overlooks a large natural spring where Elephant and Lion jostle for watering rights with herds of Buffalo and the rare desert species of Beisa Oryx, Reticulated Giraffe and Grevy's Zebra.

Spend 3 nights at Joy's Camp. Accommodation consist of 10 chic canvas bedrooms raised off the ground with breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and overlooking a large natural spring. Each sumptuous tent is uniquely decorated with Boran/Somali cloth, handmade glass and vibrant fabrics of the local tribes creating a chic, sophisticated camp.

Your stay includes all meals, soft drinks, beer, house wine and scheduled lodge activities.

Activities include game drives, bush meals on the Ewaso Nyiro river, cultural visits and sundowners.

Masai Mara National Reserve (Elephant Pepper Camp)

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to the Masai Mara departing at 09h10. You will be met at Mara Shikar Airstrip and transferred to Elephant Pepper Camp.

Spend 3 nights at Elephant Pepper Camp. This small and very exclusive camp is located away from other lodges in the heart of the African bush. With just 7 comfortably furnished, double en-suite tents and one honeymoon tent, Elephant Pepper Camp offers the ultimate luxury bush safari with the sights and sounds of nature and all the luxuries you need.

Your stay includes all meals, soft drinks, beer, house wine and scheduled lodge activities.

Activities include day and night game drives, bush walks, bush meals and sundowners.

After a last game drive in the Masai Mara you will be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Nairobi. Upon arrival in Nairobi our representative will meet and transfer you to your Nairobi hotel or to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your journey home.
