Day 1:

Arusha (Arusha Coffee Lodge)

On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met by our representative for your road transfer to Arusha Coffee Lodge.

Renowned as the safari capital of Tanzania, Arusha is tucked beneath the towering peaks of Mt Meru and Mt Kilimanjaro. The town has numerous first-class restaurants, bars and markets to browse, and is the ideal place to spend a few days before embarking on a safari.

Spend the night in a chalet at the Arusha Coffee Lodge, situated in the endless acres of Tanzania's largest coffee plantation.

Your stay is on a Bed & Breakfast basis.

Days 2 & 3:

Lake Manyara National Park (Lake Manyara Tree Lodge)

After breakfast you will be driven to Arusha Airport for your scheduled flight to Lake Manyara National Park. Upon arrival at Manyara Airstrip your driver/guide will meet you for your first game drive to the lodge.

The diverse habitats of Lake Manyara National Park range from its Rift Valley soda lake to dense woodlands and steep mountainsides. The park is famous for it unusual tree-climbing lions and vast elephant herds. The shores of the lake, encrusted with pink flamingo, attract more than 400 species of birds.

Spend 2 nights at Lake Manyara Tree Lodge. Accommodation is in an elegant, stilted tree house, which is cradled in the boughs of mahogany trees. Your room is built of timber and makuti (palm fronds) and has a spacious sitting area, viewing deck and a lovely en-suite bathroom.

Your stay includes three meals daily, soft drinks, house wines, local brand spirits and beers, teas and coffees, emergency medical evacuation insurance, laundry and daily lodge activities.

Activities include twice-daily game drives.

Days 4 to 6:

Serengeti National Park (Klein's Camp, Grumeti Serengeti Camp or Serengeti Under Canvas)

After breakfast you will be taken on a game drive to Manyara Airstrip for your scheduled flight to the Serengeti. On arrival your driver/guide will meet you for your short game drive to your safari lodge / camp.

The Serengeti National Park is one of the world's most celebrated wilderness areas. Tanzania's oldest game reserve, it is renowned for the part it plays in the annual Great Migration of two million antelope.

Spend 3 nights at your choice of the following:

  • A thatched stone cottage at Klein's Camp. Your stay is on a full board basis, including concession fees and scheduled adventures such as game drives (including spotlit night drives) and nature walks.
  • A flamboyant tent at Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp. Your stay is on a full board basis, including twice-daily game drives and park fees.
  • A beautiful tent at a remote campsite at Serengeti Under Canvas. Your stay is on a full board basis, including twice-daily game drives and park fees.
Days 7 & 8:

Ngorongoro Crater (Ngorongoro Crater Lodge)

After an early morning game drive and tantalising breakfast you will be driven back to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Manyara Airstrip. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred by road to Ngorongoro Crater Lodge.

A unique safari destination, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is home to more than 30 000 protected animals. Once a gigantic volcano, the Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact caldera in existence. Nearly three million years old, it shelters one of the world's most beautiful wildlife havens.

Spend 2 nights at Ngorongoro Crater Lodge. Accommodation is in a sumptuous double suite. Each suite is discreetly tended by a personal butler, who will bring you tea in bed, stoke your fireplace and even draw your bath, scattering the water with rose petals, ready for your return from your safari on the crater floor.

Your stay is on a full board basis, including scheduled lodge activities and park fees.

Activities include game drives on the Crater floor. Additional excursions & activities to the Olduvai Gorge, Shifting Sands, a visit to a traditional Maasai village and walks around the Empakai Crater may be booked directly at the lodge (subject to additional cost and availability of vehicles).

Day 9: Depart

After breakfast you will be transferred to the Manyara Airstrip, where you will board a flight to Arusha Airport. Upon landing you will be met and transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight.
