Days 1 & 2:

Victoria Falls (Ilala Lodge)

On arrival at Victoria Falls Airport you will be warmly welcomed by a member of our team and transfer you by road to Ilala Lodge.

You will have two days to discover and enjoy Zimbabwe's foremost attraction, Victoria Falls. 'The smoke that thunders' remains one of the most spectacular natural wonders in the world. In addition, the area offers a variety of activities for adventure seekers and safari lovers alike.

Spend 2 nights at Ilala Lodge. Accommodation is in a spacious standard room with railway sleeper teak furnishings and patio doors leading onto either an open lawn or a balcony.

Your stay includes breakfast.

Days 3 to 5:

Hwange National Park (Somalisa Camp)

After breakfast on your last morning in Victoria Falls you will be transferred by road to Hwange Main Camp passing through traditional Ndebele villages on your way. You will be met by your guide at Hwange Main Camp and transferred by game drive to Somalisa Camp in Hwange National Park.

Situated just south of Victoria Falls, the largest reserve in Zimbabwe is home to one of the highest concentration of game with more than 100 different animal species and over 400 species of birds. Moreover, Hwange is world famous for its 30,000 elephants, making it one of the few great elephant sanctuaries left in Africa.

Spend 3 nights at Somalisa Camp. Accommodation is in one of only 6 elegantly furnished canvas tents with en-suite bathrooms, flush toilet and a romantic alfresco bush shower.

Your stay includes all meals, all beverages except premium imported spirits and champagne, twice daily game viewing activities per day and laundry.

Activities include guided walks, game drives as well as game viewing from hides. All activities are lead by qualified and passionate guides who will share their knowledge and love of the bush with you.

Days 6 & 7:

Mana Pools National Park (Kanga Bush Camp)

After your last morning activity at Somalisa Camp you will be transferred by light air charter to Mana Pools. Here you will stay for the first two nights of your safari in Mana Pools, exploring the inland river beds, pans and open plains of the National Park by game drive and guided walks with an armed professional guide.

Mana Pools National Park is a UNESCO world heritage site based on it's wildness and beauty, and is synonymous with the mighty Zambezi river, elephants, lions, remoteness and unique wilderness area. The wild child of the Zambezi River offers spectacular landscapes and fantastic opportunities for canoeing safaris.

Spend 2 nights at Kanga Bush Camp. Accommodation is in one of only 6 large, walk-in Meru style safari tents with en-suite bathroom facilities, out-door bucket showers with flushing toilets and private verandas over-looking the water hole.

Your stay includes all meals, all beverages except premium imported spirits and champagne, twice daily game viewing activities per day and laundry.

Activities will include game drives in open four-wheel drive vehicles and night drives. But the most unique and exciting activity is walking and tracking wildlife with a professional guide giving you the possibility to leave your vehicle or even walk out of the camp and track game on foot with an experienced professional guide.

Days 8 to 10:

Mana Pools National Park (Zambezi Life Styles)

After your last morning activity at Kanga Camp, you will begin your three night adventure along the Zambezi River.

The adventure of a lifetime for an experience like no other awaits over the next couple of days. This safari takes you to several prime spots of this World Heritage site allowing you to explore new territory every day.

  • The camp: Each night you will end up back at Zambezi Life Styles, a comfortable 12 bedded camp on the banks of the Zambezi that is set up for the season each year. Each tent is a spacious meru-style tent with en-suite bathroom, flush toilet and outdoor bucket shower.
  • The walking: There are plenty of opportunities to walk the famous floodplain of the Zambezi valley, exploring the Mana Pools wilderness areas well off the beaten track. Wildlife to be seen includes hippos, crocodiles, lions, wild dogs, leopard, hyenas, elephant, buffalo, waterbuck and many other antelope.
  • The canoeing: An optional activity which will probably see you doing about 8 hours of light paddling each day in a steady current of about five kilometers an hour. The whole trip will be along the shoreline in Zimbabwe's Mana Pools National Park covering a total distance of about 50 kilometers, where you will enjoy viewing of wildlife from a totally different perspective.
Day 11: Depart

After your last morning in Mana Pools you will be transferred by light air charter to Harare Airport and your onward travel arrangements.
